主讲人简介:

    Tong Wang(王彤),女,博士,美国Iowa州立大学(ISU)教授,博士生导师、研究生教育主任(DOGE)、美国油脂化学家学会(AOCS)磷脂部主席,美国油脂化学家学会杂志(JAOCS)副编辑,AOCS学会委员及会议组织者。

    1998年获得ISU食品科学博士学位。2000年就职于ISU食品科学与人类营养系, 2010年评为全职教授。主要从事玉米、大豆、蛋类及微藻类的加工与利用方面的研究。主要研究领域有:(1)基础油脂化学研究(油脂结构改性和玉米、大豆、微藻油生物等可再生资源的利用);(2)从玉米发酵产物、蛋类、微藻中提取脂质;(3)玉米和大豆生物精炼、蛋类利用等应用研究。从事教学和研究工作17年,她获得各类科研项目总研究经费为790多万美元,发表SCI论文132篇,参与编著11本,授权专利6项。指导18名硕士、11名博士、19名博士后以访问学者。因其杰出贡献,2009年获爱荷华州最具创新精神奖和Gamma Sigma Delta团队研究奖、2012年获农业与生命科学颁发的职业生涯中期研究成就奖、2013年获AOCS特别贡献奖、2014年获得ISU职业成就奖等。

Topic:  A Brief Overview ISU-FSHN and Wang’s Lipid Chemistry and Application Research

 

Speaker:  Prof. Tong Wang

 

Place: The Sixth Floor Lecture Hall, College of Food Science and Engineering, North Campus

Tong Wang, professor of Iowa State University, Associate Editor for Journal of AOCS, Chaired the Phospholipid Division, co-organized AOCS-PHOS Division’s Short Course and Forum. Dr. Wang received her PhD degrees from Iowa State University in 1998. In 2000, she worked at department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in ISU, and in 2010 she became a full-time professor in ISU.

Main theme: Processing and value-added utilization of soybeans, corn, egg, and other agricultural products or by-products, primarily for their lipid components, with the following three areas of specialization: (1)Basic Lipid Chemistry Research (2) Protein Research (3)Biorenewables or Bio-based Products Research. To date, Dr. Wang has published 132 peer-reviewed journal articles, 11 book chapters and 8 patents and patent applications. She has received 74 funded research grants, with $7.9 million total funding and mentored 29 graduate students (11 PhD, 18 MS), with 23 (8 PhD, 15 MS) to completion; and 19 post-docs and visiting scientists.
